Jeanne Tonnabel – CNRS researcher
at the Institut des Sciences de l’Evolution de Montpellier
(UMR 5554 – University of Montpellier)
Estelle Barbot – Post-doctoral researcher – Univ. of Montpellier
Estelle studies how sexual selection is mediated by the behaviour and abundance of pollinators, and decomposes sexual selection into the pre-pollination and post-pollination phases, thanks to monitoring of pollinators and paternity analyses.
Benjamin Viel – Research technician – Univ. of Montpellier
Benjamin is in charge of molecular analyses necessary to paternity analyses, and of the maintenance of plant experiments, including seed production through hand-pollination. Benjamin takes care of data acquisition in various experiments, including phenotyping and scent analyses.
Iain Moodie – MSc student (Erasmus Mundus MEME program), Univ. of Montpellier
Iain performs a meta-analysis in angiosperms quantifying the importance of sexual selection in plants combiningclassical metrics widely applied in empirical tests of sexual selection and paternity analyses.
Mar. 2022 – Aug. 2022
Bushra Shahid – MSc student (Erasmus Mundus MEME program), Univ. of Montpellier
Bushra studies whether sexual systems have evolved jointly with species range sizes and ecological niches in angiosperms by comparing models of quantitative trait evolution along genera phylogenies.
